Hella DRL’s Website

Failing to see another road user in time (or at all) is a contributing factor in over 50% of all daytime accidents. For daytime intersection accidents this increases to as much as 80%.*

Hella have set up a dedicated website for consumers and retailers to source more information or to find their closest outlet or installer for daytime Running Lights.

HELLA Safety DayLights are designed to enhance the visibility of a vehicle to other road users during daylight hours. Dipped beam headlamps on the other hand, are designed to effectively light up the road in front of the vehicle during darkness, whilst causing as little glare as possible to oncoming traffic.

Hence during daytime, dipped beam headlamps ‘waste’ most of their light directed to the road in front of the vehicle but provide very little as a signal to the driver of an oncoming vehicle in bright daylight.
